Calhoun County History
2021-10-21 · Calhoun County History. Created by the legislature December 18, 1832, from the land ceded by the Treaty of Cusseta, executed March 24, 1832. It lost part of its original territory by the formation of Cleburne, December 6, 1866, and Etowah County December 7, 1866. Its area is 630 square miles or 403,200 acres.
